Get help.
AcqAgent is a small, independent project. Here is how to get help with the GAO protest search server, the Nexus dashboard and the rest of the site.
Write to acqagent.ai@gmail.com. Say what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead. For the server, include the assistant you used (ChatGPT, Claude or another), the B-number or the search, and roughly when it happened. Replies can take a few days.

Open an issue on GitHub: acqagent/mcps for the GAO protest search server, or acqagent/GAO-Bid-Protest-Nexus for the Nexus dashboard. The contribute page explains how corrections and contributions are handled.
The GAO protest search server
The server lets AI assistants search and compare more than 29,000 GAO bid protest decisions. Its address is https://mcp.acqagent.ai/mcp, and it needs no sign-in. To check whether it is up, open mcp.acqagent.ai/health. When all is well it shows "ok": true and the number of decisions.
It has five tools, and all of them only read:
- Search decisions by an issue or fact pattern in plain language, with optional filters for outcome, agency, years, contract type and record type.
- Get a decision by B-number: its summary, issues, reasoning, outcome, key points and a link to gao.gov.
- Find similar decisions to a given one, with the same filters.
- Compare a decision with its five closest matches: what they share, how they differ, and grounds to distinguish them.
- Corpus info: what the server covers and the filter values it accepts.
Connecting it
The server accepts connections from ChatGPT and Claude. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste the address and choose No sign-in if asked. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it under Organization settings, then Connectors. Apps that connect from your own computer, such as Claude Code, can't connect to it; use it through ChatGPT or Claude instead.
Common problems
- "No decision found." Check the B-number. B-420562, b-417297.2 and B 417297.2 all work. A few decisions are not in the corpus; search by topic to find related ones.
- "Too many requests." The server limits how fast any one source can send requests. Wait a minute and try again.
- "The shared daily (or monthly) allowance of tool calls is used up." To stay free, the server has a daily and a monthly limit on tool calls, shared by everyone who uses it. The message says when it resets: midnight UTC for the daily limit, the 1st of the month for the monthly one.
- "This server accepts connections from ChatGPT and Claude." The app you are using connects from your own computer rather than through ChatGPT's or Claude's servers. Add the server in ChatGPT or Claude instead.
- A summary or outcome looks wrong. The analyses are generated by AI models and can be wrong. Check the decision on gao.gov, then email the B-number and what is wrong so it can be fixed.
- The assistant doesn't use the tools. Mention GAO bid protest decisions or a B-number in your question, or ask it to use Bid Protest Nexus.
