# What this site collects.

Not much. There are no accounts, no forms and no ads. This page covers all of it.

## Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and features get used. It records the pages you view, how far you scroll, and a few clicks: opening the Nexus dashboard, downloading a file, following the RSS feed or the Contact link, and following a link to another site. Google also records general details about each visit, such as your browser, your type of device, the page that sent you here, and an approximate location it works out from your IP address. Google says Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

To tell a new visitor from a returning one, Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with `_ga`. They identify a browser, not a person, and this site has no way to connect them to who you are. The site shows no ads and does not sell anyone's data. Google handles what it collects under its own [privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

## Turning it off

Google's [opt-out browser add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) stops Google Analytics on every site. Blocking cookies or using a content blocker works too. The site works the same either way.

## The Nexus dashboard

The dashboard runs in your browser. The decisions you select are saved in your browser, so they are still there next time, and are never sent to this site. Dynamic Search is not available in the hosted copy, so nothing typed there leaves your browser.

Google Analytics on the dashboard counts visits, which tabs and protest grounds are opened, how many decisions are selected, and when an analysis starts. It never receives decision text, your question, your settings, or which decisions you open or pick.

On this site, Analysis does not call a model. When you click Analyze, the dashboard loads an analysis that an automated batch run wrote in advance, from this site. Each file it loads covers about 30 decisions, so the request shows roughly which group of decisions you opened, not the exact one.

## What else your browser keeps

If you switch between the light and dark themes, your browser remembers which one you chose. That is the only other thing the site stores there.

## Hosting

Cloudflare serves the site. Like any web host, it handles each request, including your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
